I think this is one of my favorite pictures so far. I love how clear it came out and all the great earthy tones. Even my background blurred how I wanted.
This is one of our neighbors horses. I think they are one of the most beautiful things about Kentucky. I love this time of year here, with everything blooming and having babies, Derby coming up. I really love my state.
My birthday is coming up and I had decided to buy myself an iphone or Blackberry ;0) Apparently my mom heard me talking about it and went out and got me one. Isn't she the greatest! This thing rocks. Thanks Mom.
I know this is just a weed but I really like the perspective of it and the colors. Something about this pic just appeals to me although I am not quite sure what.
I love spring and all the flowers blooming and trees budding. This is a tree at the edge of the playground at the ballpark. I am sure people thought I was crazy when I was taking this. I really like the red against the blue sky.
This is the sunset over the playground beside one of Zoey's softball practice fields. I took this during her second softball practice. More than likely you will see a lot of baseball/softball field pics for the next couple of months as we are there 4/5 nights a week.
These are Zoey's battle wounds from learning how to ride her two wheeler without training wheels. She finally got the knack of it and has the scars to prove it ;0) She was so cute, never cried or whined, just got up and got right back on her bike.
Softball and baseball season have officially started here (practice at least). This is Zoey's first year playing Fast Pitch and this is her at her first practice. Her little team is so cute. 5 and 6 year old girls.
More wonderful signs of spring! This is a bush in front of the church building. It is so pretty in the spring when all the yellow blooms come out on it.
This is at Blazers which is a local indoor fun zone with roller skating, jump houses, a rock wall, and putt putt. We took the kids there and did the rock wall and the inflatable. Eli was not happy because he wanted to play putt putt.
This is just a random pic of a fruit stand in our kitchen. Almost forgot to take my pic today. I do like how it turned out although I obviously need to dust ;0)
This is the top of our local telephone company building. The owner changes the colors of the lights depending on holidays and what is going on with local sports. Otherwise it is always good ol patriotic red, white, and blue. Gotta love small towns where it is still ok to love and be proud of your country.
I like how this one showed the storm moving out and the blue skies moving in. Looking like it is going to be a stormy spring here. That is normal for us though ;0)
We went hiking at Tioga Falls which is a part of Ft. Knox, Kentucky. We had to go under this huge railroad trestle. It was really neat. The wind was blowing so the whole thing would groan every once in awhile. As far as I know though trains still use this. I wanted to get a feeling of the height of it.
I took this when out shopping with one of my friends. It is a wine glass display at the one of the stores we went too. I really like the sparkle and reflections in the glass.
I absolutely love this pic. I don't know if it is because of the blue and the white contrasting with the black of the tree or just the happiness of the clouds breaking up but I am really happy with how it turned out. I am hoping to play with it in editing some later.
I took this on the way to take the kids to school. I love a partially cloudy sky. It makes for some really great pics. I just liked the clouds over the sun in this one.
I think old barns are fascinating. I really like how this picture turned out. I also like the color version but there was just something about the black and white. I just like the feeling of times long ago that it gave.
Trees, especially in winter, fascinate me. I think all the lines and twists and turns are wonderful. They look great close up or faraway and you see something different every time you look at them. This is at the docks on the Ohio River.
This is what my son does at naptime. Apparently he snuck a marker to bed with him and colored his face. I went to check on him and his face was covered.
